Come 4th July and it should be a carnival for people to watch the mind boggling fireworks from Shelter Island. All the people are trying to select the best places to watch the fireworks. One of the best places to watch the spectacular fireworks of San Diego is the Shelter Island. The Big Bay Boom is the term used for the firework show by the organizers. The show is organized is in such a way that the firework is visible from every park in San Diego. The show begins at 9pm and goes on for 20 minutes. There are other places from which the show can be enjoyed. These places are Embarcadero, Harbor Island and the Coronado ferry landing.
For people who are traveling to Shelter Island there is different mode of transportation. The tourists can take a ferry or a bus to reach Shelter Island. It is advisable that the tourists book the hotels in advance as this Island is generally very crowded during this period of the year and it will be difficult to find an accommodation if you do not have prior bookings.
The Shelter Island is 32kms wide. It is square in shape. One third of the Shelter Island is under The Nature Conservancy. They use this part for the preservation of Trees, Plants and Animals. The population of the Island is merely 2500. The Shelter Island consists of 4 private beaches and 1 yacht club. The Shelter Island also has good collection of restaurants and hotels. New Overtime Rules: No Golden Goals

The term Golden goal refers to a goal that is scored in the extra time. If the scores are tied after the stipulated 90 minutes of play or the scores are tied then extra minutes are allotted for play. The team to score the first goal is considered to be the winner. The goal scored is referred to be a Golden goal. It is sometimes referred to as the death goal because the team which scores the goal wins.
There is also a term called as a Silver goal which means that even though a goal is scored in overtime the game continues till the stipulated overtime.
In the year 2004 the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) changed the rules and said that both Golden goal and Silver goal are no longer a part of the game. The Euro 2004 tournament was the last major tournament to use this rule to decide the fate of the game.
But the rules are changed now. The new rules give 15 minutes of overtime if the scores are tied. If the scores still remain tied another 15 minutes are allocated for play. If the scores still remains ties then the teams go for penalty shoot out to decide which team wins the game.
Roger Federer Knocked out of Wimbledon

The defending champion and the number 1 seed, Roger Federer, was knocked out of Wimbledon minutes before in the quarter final. Federer came into the tournament as number 1 seed and it is his 2nd successive quarter final defeat in the tournament where he entered as a defending champion. Federer also lost in the quarter final of Roland Garros (lost to Soderling). He was against Thomas Berdych of Czec Republic today and lost in 4 sets. Federer was appearing in his 25th consecutive quarter final but was unable to keep his chances alive for 7th Wimbledon title.
Berdych served well throughout the match whereas Fedrer was having trouble with his forehand and back hand. Berdych took the first set 6-4 but Federer came back strong in the 2nd set and did not allow Berdych to use his Forehand freely. Federer took the 2nd set 6-3 but looked out of color in the 3rd set. Berdych was serving well and broke Federer twice to take the third set. Federer had some great chances to come back in the match in the fourth set but was not able to capitalize on it. Federer was 0-40 on Berdych serve but was unable to convert the break points and eventually lost the fourth set 6-4.

Freezing emotions?
People generally believe that their faces show the emotions they feel. However, according to recent research, this may not be entirely true. Some studies have shown that the brains of people whose facial expressions do not change find it relatively more difficult to register emotions.
The study was conducted by injecting people with Botox, which is a toxin that tends to freeze facial expressions. The people seemed to respond just normally even to very emotional and dramatic movies. That was due to the fact that their brains received relatively little feedback from their faces.
Other people who were given Restylane did not experience any changes in their emotional reactions. Botox restricts movement of the facial muscles while Restylane does not.
This shows the close relationship between facial expressions and people’s moods. One leads to the other. Just as people’s faces can light up when they are pleased, changes on their faces can result in corresponding feelings.
On the other hand, this finding is not quite as new as you may think. Have you ever been adviced against having a gloomy face to avoid a sour mood?
Ironically, more and more people are receiving Botox injections as they try to adjust the expressions on their faces. The practice is more common among the youth and celebrities.

Sex Is Forbidden In The Outer Space According To NASA Commander

Sex in space is no longer a mere science fiction. But sex in space will definitely not occur in the immediate future. Alan Poindexter, a NASA space shuttle commander was asked on his visited to Tokyo, by a reporter: What would occur if astronauts would have sexual relations in space, according to France 24.
He responded “serious-faced” that personal relations aren’t an issue. “We don’t have them and we won’t.”
Poindexter and his six crew member were in Tokyo to talk about the resupply mission directly related to the International Space Station.
Moreover, as the commander explicit said that they are a “group of professionals” who “treat each other with respect, and we have a great working relationship. Personal relationships are not … an issue.”
The intriguing question of sexual relations in the outer space was raised after the April mission. This was mainly because it was the first time ever four women orbited in space. There were three women on the Discovery that met four men and another woman at the International Space Station.
However, the NASA commander statements probably rule-out the possibility for planetary romance in the years to come. But, it will likely occur when space missions expand to a larger-scales.
A Happy Dog Can Live A Long Life

The longevity of a dog is determined by several factors. The most common known factor is body size. In general, the smaller a dog is the longer is it expected to live according to science. However, psychology might be playing its role as well in determining longevity.
Personality is something that all species have, ranging from humans to insects. Recent research, conducted by Vincent Careau, who is an evolutionary biologist from Université de Sherbrooke in Canada, examined the role of dog’s personality in longevity. It appeared that aggressiveness, mildness and obedience did highly influence their survival potentials.
A study published in the June issue of The American Naturalist, suggested that obedient dogs were more likely to live longer than dog’s being less obedient. For instance, Beagles and Pomeranians tend to live shorter than dogs, which are of the same size. Their disobedient or rather hard learned attitude is probably the main factor for their shorter lifespan.
Aggressive dogs such as Fox terriers and Great Danes who use more energy per kilogram are more likely to die earlier than Newfoundlands and Labradors. This shows that how dogs expend their energy does also influence how long they might live.
However, some scientists disagree. A physiologist, Joseph Williams from Ohio State University in Columbus considers that dogs are an exception to the natural law of longevity. Their size is not really a factor in determining their longevity. For example, a Chihuahua can live longer than a Saint Bernard. But, in the natural law of longevity size is a very accurate factor of longevity; a small mouse will only live for approximately three-quarters of a year while Elephant lives for decades.
Russian Spies Arrested In Boston
Tuesday, June 29th, 2010A couple in Boston, supposed to be normal citizens of USA, turned out to be Russian spies trained to find out about the United States policies on various internal and external affairs according to an affidavit filed by FBI.
Donald Heathfield and Tracey Foley have been arrested by the FBI on the above said charge. Heathfield, who is supposed to have attended Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, has been found to have worldwide affiliations ranging from Harvard, to Paris, to China, Singapore and Brazil.
Tracey Foley, a real estate agent, had been doing good business in and around the area where they lived.
Heathfield is said to own Global Partners Inc, a consulting and management development firm, which had good terms with MIT, and the Pentagon. He also owned Future Maps, a software system predicting the future events. He is said to have also known unnamed former congressmen and many other global companies. He was trained in Moscow spy school for numerous years to adopt a new life moulding him into an otherwise dead Canadian man‘s lifestyle.
The FBI says that the spy wanted to find out about United States’ s policies on how terrorism is enhanced by the internet, government policies on Central America, problems with US military and Western Estimation of (Russian) Foreign policy.
