You will especially need lots of old newspapers or cardboards to cover the floor and protect it from spills. Oil filters, wrench set, an oil container, a funnel, and new oil are a given in this task, of course. Do not forget to wear gloves, too. Some people change the oil with bare hands but there is always the option of wearing gloves for extra protection. Make sure that the spot where you’re going to do the oil change has a level,flat, and solid ground. Drive around your neighborhood first to heat the oil and make it thin and easy to drain from the engine. Once your engine is warm enough, you can then park your car on the spot for the task at hand. You can wait a while to cool the engine a bit. Thin oil that is easily drained is good but we wouldn’t want to burn our hands now, do we? Make sure you’ve placed your car in gear and the parking brake is set firmly. You can block the tires with a rock or brick for extra measure. You then jack your car up, but do not settle only for that. Use jackstands to keep the car aloft to help keep it firmly there. Don’t get under the car unless you are very sure that the car is stable being held up. Now with the car settled, the ground covered with newspapers or cardboards, the tools prepared, and you protected with gloves and work clothes, you’re ready for the task of changing the oil. Just remember to be careful when draining the oil since it may still be hot. Also make sure your face is out of the way when draining it. When you’re done with changing the oil and screwing the engine close, start looking for leaks. Start the engine and run it for five minutes or so while checking if there are leaks or not. Afterwards you can clean up. Throw the newspapers and oil containers away. Place the used oil and container in a sealed bag and take it to the gas station or oil recycling center.

Another important reminder is to remember that oil disposal should be done correctly. Improper oil disposal has been a hot issue, and is considered illegal and damaging to the environment. It is recommended that you drop your old and used oil at gas stations that will accept them, at no charge. There are regulations for proper oil disposal and people doing an oil change on their engines should be well aware of it. 2010 Chevy Cobalt

While some vehicles in its class (Toyota Corolla) have scored perfect ratings on crash tests, the 2010 Chevy Cobalt only scores 4 out of 5 stars on both front and side impact tests. The problem with these vehicles is that stability control and full curtain side airbags are not standard features for all models offered. The Cobalt will more than likely be one of the best selling small sedans on the market for the ’10 model year. Chevy didn’t change too much on them because the model is going to be discontinued. For overall fuel economy and the features offered for the price they still are a bargain for consumers who don’t need a full size family sedan. SS packages do offer the performance and handling necessary to make them a very desirable car.

World’s Fastest Pizza Maker in 2010

Grewal, a Domino’s franchisee from the United Kingdom made 3 large pizzas in an impressive 39.1 seconds which create a new world record. That means 3 Pizzas in 13 seconds each! Pali, Who is the Domino’s first international winner, he won $3,000 in prize money, a trophy and the title of Fastest Pizza Maker presented by Domino’s President and CEO, J. Patrick Doyle.” I’ve been hungry for this title for such a long time and it is just awesome to finally win it,” said Grewal. “Like any great athlete, I’ve been practicing and practicing and now I am going to take a day off.”
All finalists represented Domino’s Pizza stores from around the world, as far away as Malaysia. They had to hand-stretch fresh dough, pizza sauce and top 3 large pizzas – 1 pepperoni, 1 mushroom and 1 cheese, as quickly as possible. Where speed was important, it was only part of the recipe. Quality was scrutinized as two judges highly qualified in Domino’s standard pizza-making practices, inspected the stretching of the dough, application of the sauce and portioning of toppings during the competition. In this competition if any pizza was not perfect, it was returned to the competitor who remade the entire pizza, while still being timed. Grewal, a multi-store franchisee from Surrey, has been with Domino’s for over 18 years. Grewal has been making pizzas for Domino’s when he was only 13 years old. Domino’s began the “World’s Fastest Pizza Maker” competition in 1982 to honor pizza makers who best exemplify the company’s philosophy of keeping efficiency in the store to allow sufficient time for safe, “Domino’s Pizza is proud to employ the fastest pizza makers in the world,” Doyle said. “Our emphasis is on the quality of the pizza, while also using our expertise to get them made quickly. The goal for everyone in our stores is to get hot, great-tasting pizzas to customers’ doors as quickly as possible. The annual ‘World’s Fastest Pizza Maker’ competition recognizes those who do this with the speed of champions every day.”
Competition was held at Domino’s 50th Anniversary .This competition organized in Las Vegas which attended by nearly 6,000 Domino’s team members and franchisees from around the world.
