Her Humanitarian Efforts

Friday, October 1st, 2010

Partner to Brad Pitt, is the star of several blockbuster movies. Among them Girl Interrupted and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, coincidentally where she met Pitt. But perhaps her most well known portrayal was as the buxom Lara Croft, in the Tomb Raider films. During the shooting of the first movie, much of which was shot on location in Cambodia, Jolie came to witness the beautiful environment, immersive culture, and rampant poverty of the nation. This, she says, opened her eyes and was her stepping-stone into humanitarian work. After Cambodia, Angelina Jolie took a trip to Sierra Leone and Tanzania in 2001, and it was there that she first became actively involved in humanitarian causes. The purpose of that fateful trip was to discover first hand the conditions that refugees must suffer. Angelina was so shocked that shortly after, in August 2001, she was appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, otherwise known as UNHCR. The UNHCR assists over 20 million refugees in 120 countries around the world. They were created to protect and safeguard the well-being and rights of refugees. They believe that refugees have a right to seek asylum in another country and will actively seek to engage nations to integrate and support those refugees. Thus far, in only 5 decades, they have helped over 50 million people in the world. Angelina’s contribution has greatly assisted in generating more widespread attention to this worthy cause. As a goodwill ambassador, her role is to communicate to, and provide a focus on refugees by generating mass-media attention. Though in Jolie’s case this is not merely superficial. She actually spends much of her own time and is genuinely affected by their misery. On her trip to Ecuador, Jolie wrote of the suffering, “People’s lives are truly in danger – not just in the sense that you feel your town is unsafe – their lives are actually being threatened and their houses are being burnt down.”

To further increase public awareness, Jolie has released several personal journals of her experiences during field visits. As well as the physical effort that Jolie contributes, her foundation with partner Brad Pitt, called the Jolie-Pitt Foundation recently donated USD$1 million to groups working in Darfur. Darfur is a region in war-ravaged Sudan, which Jolie has visited three times already.  Jolie now plans to spend most of her time in humanitarian efforts, revealing that she splits her actress her salary three ways; a third for savings, a third for living expenses and a third for charity. Considering she commands a high pay packet for movies, as well as product endorsements, that equates to a considerable amount donated. Jolie has two adopted children, and is currently thinking of a third. Maddox, a Cambodian refugee boy she adopted in 2002, and Zahara, an Ethiopian refugee girl. She also has a child with Brad Pitt, named Shiloh.

Together with Pitt, Jolie has stated that she will continue to promote and actively engage in humanitarian causes, as well as pursuing her acting ambitions.

Is Motor Scooters Safe?

Friday, October 1st, 2010

Both electric scooters and gas scooters are a style of motorcycle that have a step through frame and have become a very popular method of travel all over the world. They have been scooting out of show rooms at record speed. But what many people do not realize is that motor scooters are classified as motor vehicles when it comes to highway regulations. And although they are an object of desire for many they can also be dangerous for many. They are typically regulated by state laws as either motorcycles or mopeds and are subject to many of the same regulations as other motor vehicles. With a careful and alert driver a scooter can be as safe as any other vehicle on the road. But accidents frequently occur when motor scooter drivers think they are exempt from the conventions that apply to automobiles. Motor scooters (sometimes called mopeds or go pads) are commonly purchased for use by children and teenagers, most of whom do not even possess a valid license to drive. Licensed drivers have had a certain amount of training behind the wheel of a car, unlike many motor scooter drivers under the age of 16. Without proper training children and young teenagers can easily find themselves in positions that experienced drivers normally would not. Darting in and out of traffic with little driving experience, on a motor scooter that is so small it cannot be seen by other drivers, poses a hazard to both the scooter driver and other motorists traveling the highway. To be safe a motor scooter driver must think of himself as being invisible to the other drivers making their way down the busy streets. A scooter driver cannot assume that other drivers will see them. A safe approach for a scooter driver would be to assume that they are completely invisible to other drivers and then act accordingly. A motor scooter rider must be ready to maneuver out of harm’s if another driver makes a sudden unexpected movement. Being safe means staying alert at all times. Being safe also means following the rules of the road and not making unnecessary or risky moves in traffic that would cause their moped scooter to dart out in front of another moving vehicle. Automobile drivers must have time to react to a scooter driver’s movements. There are many reasons to own a motorized scooter. They are often used for traveling short distances around the neighborhood to perform errands. Due to their size, fuel-efficiency, weight, and typically larger storage room than a motorcycle, they are ideal in this situation. But in the hands of the youth, without any previous driving experience, they can be deadly.
The ATV, go carts, dirt bikes and mini bikes are other racing vehicles that are often owned and operated by younger drivers. ATVs are usually used off road along with dirt bikes and mini bikes. Go karts are typically driven on paved tracks specifically made for the go cart. The go kart, mini bike, dirt bike or ATVs don’t usually get out on the open road where there are cars to contend with. Therefore they also avoid many of the dangers that scooter drivers must face. Motor scooters are the latest craze, especially among the youth market looking for a quick, cheap form of transportation. These youths can be too young to own a driver’s license, and the result is a dangerous situation. They are more popular than ever, but as their popularity grows, people’s awareness of driving regulations has not kept pace, especially among the younger generation. Kids often think of motor scooters as toys, not as adult vehicles. But a scooter is not a toy. It’s a potentially dangerous motor vehicle subject to certain laws and regulations. Also, youth often think of themselves as being immune to automobile driving regulations and immune to accidents as well. “It won’t happen to me” is a very common attitude among the youth. But it’s precisely this attitude that can get them into trouble. People need to be aware of the potential motor scooter dangers and take appropriate action. Scooter riders should pay special attention while driving, making sure not to drive erratically, but to be predictable and courteous to other drivers on the road.

Both kids and adults need training and experience before attempting to maneuver their scooters out in traffic. If parents will take a little time to train their children, making sure they are aware of the rules of the road before they are allowed to travel on them, it could make driving a pleasure instead of a danger. With a little training and some wise words of advice we can all make a difference in the lives of the youth. Give them some training and experience and their motor scooters may be an object of fun instead of injury.

Try Snowboarding

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Do you love spending time in the cold winter weather? If so, and you are looking for a great new activity to try this winter, consider snowboarding. For many people, the idea of snowboarding sounds dangerous, like it was only for crazy teenage boys. The idea of skiing down a large hill or mountain sounds scary enough and the idea of doing it with a snowboard sounds too hard to be tried. If these are your thoughts, you should think again. Whether you have been skiing for years or if you have never made it down a winter mountain, snowboarding can be a great way to spend winter days. If you have been a skier and are thinking of branching out into the world of snowboarding, congratulations. The best advice I can give you is to be patient. Because snowboarding is similar to skiing and yet very different, some people who ski well will find that snowboarding comes naturally and quickly while others will find the learning process grueling and frustrating. Stick with it because eventually the tricks of snowboarding can come to almost anyone. If you have never been a skier, have no fear. Having a skiing background is not always necessary or even beneficial in learning snowboarding skills. You, a non-ski expert, may actually pick up the techniques of snowboarding much easier than your skier friends. After some time you may find that snowboarding fits you like a glove.

Allow me to offer a couple of words of advice to anyone, ski expert or not, that desires to enter the world of snowboarding. First, do not expect to jump on a board and pick up the skill all on your own. Most people will benefit greatly from taking snowboarding lessons at least to learn the basics of the sport. So do not hesitate to sign yourself up for a lesson or two before you head out to the slopes. A second and perhaps more important piece of advice is simple: rent. Resist that temptation to run out and buy the latest board and snowboarding gear just to look like a seasoned pro on the slopes. On your first few times out you should rent equipment and take the time to learn what kinds of boards best meet your needs. By renting you can avoid making a costly mistake that will leave you frustrated later. So, whether you have been skiing for years or not, when winter comes around again make the choice to learn a new skill. Who knows, snowboarding could fast become your favorite source of winter fun.

How To Get Great Skin?

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

If you have had a long day (or month) at work, toxins can build up in your muscle tissue, causing you pain and discomfort. A steam sauna can force your muscles to relax, almost instantly releasing these harmful toxins. It is also great after a workout. The extra blood flow will speed up the repair of your muscle tissue, thus allowing you to exercise again sooner. Don’t take my word for it. The Finnish Olympic team takes a portable steam sauna to all competitions. The steam sauna also cleanses your skin. The sweat opens your pores, thus flushing out unhealthy toxins and grime. Sauna heat therapy is also recommended by many therapists and physicians to treat chronic pain, including joint pain, arthritis pain, and fibromyalgia. It is also effective in reducing inflammation and swelling by improving lymph flow.
It is believed by many that a sauna can help stimulate the body’s immune response by elevating the body temperature – many viruses, tumors and toxin-laden cells are thought to be weaker (poor tolerance to heat) than normal healthy cells. Proponents believe that by elevating the body’s temperature much like the body does naturally during a fever, the sauna will help the body fight various diseases. Given the human body’s effectiveness in fighting disease by inducing a fever, the science behind this theory would appear to be very plausible. After the sauna, drink a glass of mineralized water. Lie down or sit for at least 10 minutes. These simple steps will allow your body to reap the full benefits from the sauna. The healthier you become, the more easily you will sweat. Because it eliminates, the skin is sometimes called the “third kidney.” It is far more complex than the kidney or any other organ except the brain. It is composed of blood vessels, nerve endings, vessels for carrying Lymph, pigmentation, oil glands, hair follicles, cells that waterproof and deny entry to bacteria and, of course, the tubular, coiled sweat glands. It is so important that death by accumulated poisons occurs in a matter of hours if the skins, and its sweat passages, are smothered.

Tips For Travel Budget

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

The world of budget travel can be filled with excitement and appeal, and in our expensive world today traveling on a budget is becoming more necessary if you want to travel at all. It is important to keep costs low when traveling, whether you are traveling solo seeing a foreign country for the first time or a family with your car filled with kids and luggage heading for the beach or an amusement park. If you want to go the lower cost route while traveling, it is definitely a good plan to generate a travel budget. Determine the approximate costs and prioritize the different portions of your trip, such as hotel, airfare, car rental, visiting attractions and sights, food, and gasoline. Once you have a good idea of what you want to spend on each part of your trip, then you need to begin shopping around for the best deals. When it comes time for you to formulate a budget for travel, you should first prioritize by deciding what is most important to you and what you can cut back on. For example, while some travelers would rather spend a more on a higher class of accommodations, others would rather save money by staying at lower priced hotels or motels splurge on sightseeing or their food budget for the family. Once you have prioritized the elements of your trip, begin researching what the best deals are. Often, discounted admission rates on area attractions are the most common and easiest to find, since many theme parks, museums and other attractions run specials to draw tourists. To get big discounts on local attractions, the best place to start is the Internet, specifically the web site of whatever attraction you want to visit. Often you will find great deals online, such as two-for-one deals, free admission for children, special reduced admission days, even discounts on food and lodging. There are other ways to get great discounts. If you are in the military, a senior citizen or a member of an organization such as AAA, you will find that there are many discounts available to you. Most AAA offices sell discounted tickets for theme parks, museums and other attractions within driving distance, and most AAA offices sell discounted tickets to popular destinations like the Walt Disney World Resort, too. The secret to making the most of your travel budget is to research and take advantage of any discounts available. If you plan to drive your car on your trip, make sure you get it services so that it is in good condition before you leave. Something small like under-inflated tires or worn spark plugs or brake pads can affect your gas mileage and increase your fuel budget. A good tip for keeping your fuel spending under control is to invest in a map of your destination. It will keep you from getting lost and therefore wasting gas. Being able to find your way to and from the hotel or other destinations without trouble will make your vacation less stressful and less costly.

No matter how work to save money on your next vacation, planning a budget and adhering to it will let you enjoy your vacation more, and worry about the costs less.

Home earning

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Hello and thank you for reading this article. I have been making money working online with the comfort of my own home and helping people just like you make money too! Like many of you I wanted to quit my job and work for myself. I knew there were people making money online and I thought that would be a good thing to check out and see if I could make money at home too! First of all I looked at work at home programs for doing things like Get Paid To Take Surveys, Data Entry Jobs, Network Marketing Were these legitimate? Yes, I soon found out they were! They were ways to make money and information on how to get started and do it at home on my computer. When done right you can make way more per day then you ever could working a job for minimum wage or a little bit more than that per hour.
In my case answering questions for surveys and doing data entry were not really what I had in mind. Now I am not knocking anyone who can do this type of work. Certainly there are major corporations and businesses who find it less expensive for them to pay people to do that for them from home than to hire an employee and pay them a salary and benefits. Maybe even you! Making money online can be basically done in 4 ways, but how you go about it can be done all kinds of different ways! You could Sell products and a service on a website or blog, Sell products and service by email, Make money with people’s sales, Provide a service of yourself also. If you are unsure how you want to make money online read different Ways To Make $100 A Day Online. This is a great method on how anyone can make money on the Internet and exactly how to do it in different ways. I create multiple streams of income by using the internet to sell other people’s products and programs on a website and by email. Recruit others and help them make money doing what you are doing. Give them a service that they are willing to pay for. Our Hands Off Article Marketing is an example of this.

Surprisingly you can make money fast and make money easy and you can make money from home or anywhere in the world for very little money out of your own pocket. Here’s how I have found anyone can get started. There are many fast ways to make money online. Some of my favorites are Affiliate Marketing, Network Marketing, Make money using your PC or laptop. Affiliate marketing is a method of promoting a website, in which an affiliate is rewarded for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. It is a modern variation of the practice of paying finder’s-fees to individuals who introduce new clients to a business. Compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit (Pay-per-click), registrant (Pay-per-lead),or a commission for each customer or sale (Pay-per-Sale).
I have a website that is devoted 100% to ways to make money with affiliate programs. You will find training, and one of the best affiliate programs on the market today called the Affiliate Power Group. I know the owners personally and they are dong a great job to help people start their own niche site with affiliate products. Network marketing is a business in which a distributor network is needed to build the business. You make money on your sales as well as on the sales of your distributors. Is also called multi level marketing and you are paid on the sales of your group several levels deep. The Internet has made this a great way to make money fast and build a very large income in a very short period of time. With the right program anyone can quickly make money with just a little bit of effort. I can help you do that if you want! For the 1st time

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

Now I am giving you some point when you are buying a life insurance for the 1st time in your life. An insurance policy may cost less because it offers less, or dissimilar, features and benefits. And make certain the company you’ve settled on is highly regarded, with high-quality customer service and also claims-paying ability. All insurance companies are rated by chief rating agencies (e.g. Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s, A.M. Best) on their available capability to pay claims. You could also access these ratings online, by way of public libraries, or through insurance company literature.

An insurance policy is a legal contract that may be loaded with technical terms that are hard to understand. But read it anyway before you sign on the dotted line to find out about the coverage you’re buying. A life insurance policy is a lawful deal, which might be loaded with technical terms that are hard to understand, but you need to read it anyways before you sign on dotted line to find out about the premium and coverage you are buying. For instance, the policy would tell you:

a) Who is covered?
b) What coverage eliminations and limitations apply?
c) When coverage starts and ends
d) How much coverage is actually provided to you?
e) How much you would pay for insurance coverage
f) How you report a loss and to file a claim

The most excellent key for purchasing right amount of life insurance is just to have sufficient coverage policy which meets your need. In case if it carry more life insurance than what you really required; you’ll land up paying unwanted for higher premiums. On the other hand it is also significant not to have too little coverage, which might result in you being under insured. If you’ve been putting off for buying life insurance because you don’t want to pay the premiums, you might be doing yourself damage in the long run. The younger you are when you buy life insurance coverage, the lower your premiums would pay. Make your life insurance policies work for you by taking the time to occasionally review your needs and coverages.

Online MLM

Everyone that has ever been involved in Network Marketing has been exposed to the traditional Old School marketing techniques. What are the Old School techniques? You know what I’m talking about. Doing the whole belly to belly “3 foot rule” thing where you go out every day making contact with everyone that looks like it might be worth your time to present your business opportunity to. And the all so popular making a list of your friends and family and going through your “warm market”.

There is also the holding home meetings and doing demonstrations form of trying to build your business. I remember when I was a kid, my Mother going to Tupperware and Avon parties. The list goes on and on as far as marketing strategies go and although there are people that build very successful organizations using the Old School methods, they are outdated and only work for certain personality types. I mean really, how many people can you run into during the day working the malls and grocery store. Most people are working their 9-5 trying to provide for their families while you are out pounding the pavement. And out of the people that you do make contact with, how many of them are really going to be interested in what you have to present to them. I remember after trying to use these techniques and having ZERO success, my upline telling me that it might be time to pick up the phone book and start cold calling people over the phone. Really I didn’t start a home based business to be a telemarketer. Well I want to tell you something.

THERE IS A
BETTER WAY!!! MUCH BETTER!

It didn’t take me long to see that the marketing methods that my upline advised me to use were not going to get me the results that I wanted. Remember when I said that when I was a kid I remember Mom going to Tupperware parties? Well I also remember when I was a kid that there was no such thing as the INTERNET. Look, People hate to be sold! Especially in the Network Marketing industry and especially when you are dealing with Network Marketing entrepreneurs every day. They are much more likely to listen to what you have to say if you are not presenting your business opportunity to them on the front end and you are actually building a trusting relationship with them and you are personable. The internet is the most powerful tool that you can use today for reaching people all over the world. There are SO MANY tools out there where you can actually get in front of thousands of people everyday and attract people that are already looking for what you have to offer in your MLM opportunity to you. You can generate an endless amount of leads if you know how to market effectively in all these different forums:

Social Networking: Facebook, Twitter and My Space
Video Marketing: You Tube
Article/Content Marketing
Blogging
LinkedIn
The list here also goes on and on

However you decide on how you are going to market your business, one factor always stays the same. People are going to care more about how you can help THEM then they are about your company, products or compensation plan. People join people. Are you going to be able to get them the results that they are looking for? Businesses come and go in this industry. Only 20% of MLM companies are still in existence after 2 years of their launch date. But one factor will always be the same. YOU! So brand YOURSELF and not your company. The KEYS to Success in the Network Marketing industry is by combining those two concepts. BRANDING YOURSELF and gaining the knowledge of how to market effectively. When you can do this people are going to join you in whatever business endeavor that you are involved in. What I am going to show you on the next page is how you can implement the exact marketing strategies that the top producers in Network Marketing are using to generate a 5 figure income every month NO MATTER WHAT COMPANY THEY ARE INVOLVED IN and how you can start implementing the same strategies to your business starting today. in Home Business
